How much does it cost to hire a bin?
The cost to hire a skip bin varies depending on the size of the bin and the duration of the hire. For a precise quote, please contact us directly with your requirements.
What area do you service?
We service various Melbourne suburbs, including Mernda, Epping, South Morang, Mill Park, and Thomastown. If you’re unsure whether we cover your area, please give us a call, and we’ll be happy to assist.
Where can I place the bin?
The most common places for a bin to be placed for your disposal needs would be your driveway. It can also be placed on a front lawn, road, nature strip or onsite for larger jobs. For bins that will be placed on Council Property, such as the road or nature strip, a Council Permit is required. Our knowledgeable staff can discuss your bin placement options with you at the time of booking.
Can I set-up an account?
Yes, we do offer accounts to customers who regularly use our bins. Please contact our friendly office staff on 0411 319 423 to discuss if you qualify.
Can I specify delivery and pick-up times?
We can offer a two hour window for delivery and discuss with you a time frame that will be suitable. The two hour window will allow for any traffic delays as well as other bookings we have in place. We will also discuss with you whether a morning or afternoon collection is preferred.
Will I need a permit?
Depending on where you decide to place the bin, you may require a Council Permit. Most Councils require a Permit if you want to place the bin on a road or nature strip. We arrange the Permit on your behalf which covers you for the correct Public Liability Insurance that is required to place the skip on Council Property. As all Council Permit costs vary, please contact our office to discuss prices.
What happens to my waste?
Once the bins are collected we transport them to the relevant Transfer Station for Recycling. From there each bin is emptied and sorted.
What can’t I put in the bin?
While we do accept most waste, there are a few items that cannot go in the bin. These items include food waste, poisons paints or liquids, paint tins, gas bottles, asbestos, chemical waste in solid, liquid or powder form. Insulation must be bagged and labelled. Mattress’s and Tyres can do in the bin however these items do incur a surcharge.
What can I put in the bin?
We charge based on the space your items take up in our trucks. Pricing is transparent, with no hidden fees, and you’ll receive a clear quote upfront.

At times the items you may need removed maybe a single item or simple enough to provide you a fixed price over the phone. Of course. Electronics recycling can be difficult and often you need professionals who can complete the task safely and in the most eco-friendly way possible. When you hire junk recycling and disposal services from us, we’ll make sure your electronics are transported to local recycling centers in your area. Do You Handle Furniture Pickup? Is It Free ?
Yes at Junk Moovaz we handle all donation and furniture pick up. We collect all furniture that you may not want from large couches to washing machines and beds, we do it all. We collect the items and take them to partners we work with so they can be given to people who need them. Unfortunately no its not a free service as we also have employees to support and their families.
Where Do You Drop Off Donations?
We have a variety of partnerships with local charities and non-profit organizations. We currently work with The Salvation Army providing them with good quality items and looking to expand to other organizations. We also have our very own Facebook page where we offer some items for free in exchange for a donation and that donation is given to a non profit organization who looks after children with special needs, supporting some very amazing children, adults and their families.
What If The Charity Doesn’t Accept The Items?
At times the items given to us maybe stained, broken or just too old for organizations to take them. We do our best to recycle as much as we can and when do take our items to the transfer station we then separate them accordingly keeping the landfills organized and reducing the amount of waste. Keeping our environment clean and green is one of our top priorities.
